Sound Therapist Training โ€“ Level 1
This training is designed for those who want to begin their journey of working with sound, as well as for those who want to incorporate sound and voice into their current practice.

Whether you are a therapist, yoga teacher, bodyworker, or simply feel that sound is a field you want to explore, this training will provide you with a solid theoretical and practical foundation.

We work in a small group of a maximum of 10 people, allowing each participant to ask questions, receive individual support, and develop their skills.

During three intensive days, you will learn the basics of working with sound and gain the practical skills needed to independently lead relaxation sessions using sound โ€“ both individually and in groups.

No musical education or previous experience is necessary. All you need is an openness, curiosity, and a willingness to explore the possibilities of working with sound.

This training will allow you to develop new skills, deepen your relationship with sound, and learn to create calm, mindful, and supportive experiences, for yourself and others.

What You Will Learn:

Level 1:

  • The basics of working with sound and its impact on the body, mind, and nervous system.
  • How to create a safe and supportive space for sound baths.
  • You’ll become comfortable using basic instruments, such as crystal singing bowls and Koshi bells.
  • You’ll gain practical experience through individual exercises and working in pairs and groups.
  • You’ll discover various ways to use sound โ€“ both in everyday life and during yoga classes, individual sessions, workshops, and other forms of collaborative work.
  • How to plan and lead your own sound sessions for individual clients and groups.

Instruments You Will Experience:

crystal bowls

Crystal Bowls (Level 1 & 2)

Vibrating with pure, healing tones, these bowls help align the bodyโ€™s energy centers.

koshi bells

Koshi Bells (Level 1)

Known for their serene and melodic chimes, perfect for grounding and relaxing

Tibetan Bowls (Level 1)

Producing rich, resonant harmonic tones that promote deep relaxation, meditation, and energetic balance through sound vibrations that are believed to support stress reduction, mindfulness, and holistic healing

ocean drum known for its soothing properties

Ocean Drum (Level 2)

Mimics the sound of ocean waves, offering a soothing experience that promotes peace and tranquility

Using your voice in the sessions

Voice (Level 2)

your special instrument that will always sound in your unique way

How will we work?

During the training, you will learn step-by-step how to use instruments to create deep and supportive relaxation sessions using sound โ€“ both for yourself and others.

A significant portion of the training will be devoted to the practice of leading individual and group sessions. You will learn the dynamics of working with participants, how to structure sessions, and how to create a safe, mindful, and supportive space.

After completing the training, you will feel more confident using instruments and ready to independently use sound โ€“ both in your daily practice and in working with others.

The skills you will acquire will allow you to create experiences that support deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and well-being.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This training is for you if:

  • You want to begin your journey of working with sound,
  • You are interested in the effects of sound on the body, mind, and nervous system,
  • You are looking for a new tool to support relaxation and well-being,
  • You are a yoga teacher, therapist, bodyworker, or you work with others and want to expand your work and offer,
  • You want to conduct your own sound bath sessions in the future,
  • You are looking for a new path of personal or professional development.

Sound healing has become increasingly popular in recent years, and with that comes a growing number of trainings. While many courses focus primarily on learning to play singing bowls or memorising techniques, my intention is different.

My goal is not simply to teach you how to create beautiful sounds. I want you to leave with the confidence to facilitate sessions that feel safe, intentional, and deeply relaxing for the people you work with.

This training combines practical skills with an understanding of presence, listening, and creating an experience that supports the nervous system. You’ll learn how to work with sound in a way that is both intuitive and well-structured, allowing you to develop your own authentic style rather than copying someone else’s.

Because every group is intentionally kept small, you’ll receive individual guidance, personalised feedback, and plenty of opportunities to practise throughout the training. My focus is on helping you understand not only what to do, but also why you are doing it.

You’ll leave with practical tools, a solid foundation, and the confidence to continue developing your own unique way of working with sound.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that the most meaningful learning happens through experience.

Rather than spending hours listening to theory, you’ll be actively practising, asking questions, experimenting with different instruments, and receiving supportive feedback throughout the weekend.

Mistakes are welcomed, they’re an essential part of learning. This training is designed to be a space where you can explore, build confidence, and gradually discover your own way of working with sound.

There is no single “perfect” way to facilitate a sound bath. My role is to give you the knowledge, structure, and practical experience that will allow you to develop your own authentic style while feeling confident and well prepared.

Previous participants have included:

  • Yoga teachers wanting to enrich their classes with sound.
  • Massage and bodywork therapists looking to deepen relaxation during treatments.

  • Reiki practitioners and holistic healers wishing to broaden their toolkit.
  • Healthcare professionals exploring complementary approaches to wellbeing.

Agata

Agata Malczewska, sound therapist, sound practitioner

Agata is a passionate musician, sound therapist and artist, with a deep connection to music that has been a part of her life from the very beginning. Music is her second skinโ€”it’s a language she speaks and a source of personal transformation. Her journey in performance began at just four years old. Between the ages of 7 and 18, Agata honed her vocal skills through private training with expert vocal coaches.

Through her exploration of shamanism, Agata uncovered the profound healing potential of sound, vibrations, and intention. She believes that music has the power to shift moods, regulate the nervous system, evoke cherished memories, and even help heal emotional wounds. For Agata, music is not just art-it’s a powerful form of medicine.

Since 2019, Agata has been guiding transformative sound bath sessions. With hundreds of group and one-on-one sessions held across the Netherlands, Poland, France, Germany, and Portugal, she has helped countless individuals experience the healing power of sound. In 2022, Agata became an accredited sound therapist, having trained under the guidance of Stacey Griffin from Shift Meditation.
Her work continues to inspire and support those seeking balance, healing, and connection through sound.

When I discovered sound healing, I knew from the very first moment it will become such an important part of my life.

My journey began through a lifelong love of music. I’ve been singing since the age of four, and over the years I came to understand that sound has the ability to do much more than entertain, it can help us slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and create moments of deep rest in a world that rarely pauses.

Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of sound baths for individuals, groups, retreats, and corporate teams. Every session has taught me something new, not only about sound, but about people, presence, and the importance of creating spaces where others feel safe enough to simply be.

Teaching has become one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

There is something incredibly special about watching someone arrive feeling uncertain and leave with the confidence to facilitate their own first sound bath. Seeing that transformation reminds me why I continue to teach.

If you decide to join this training, my intention is not to create practitioners who sound exactly like me. Instead, I want to help you discover your own voice, your own rhythm, and your own way of sharing sound with others.

I look forward to welcoming you into the training.

What previous graduates are saying about Agata’s training:

Ellen
“I followed Agataโ€™s sound healing training with the purpose of bringing sound into my hypnosis sessions and workshops. Iโ€™m so glad I did!

I came in curious, but learning from her was truly inspiring and exciting. You can tell her whole heart is in it, and her passion is contagiousโ€”being around her made me excited to really use this beautiful tool.

What I loved most about the training is how practical it is. Agata has so much knowledge as well as many years of experience, so it felt like I could literally ask her anything about sound healing.

Sheโ€™s down to earth, yet opens your mind to endless possibilities – sound healing suddenly feels versatile, something you can use in all sorts of ways and settings.

I left the training feeling ready to start integrating sound into my sessions!
Thank you, Agata!”

Thyrza
“In May ’25 I participated in Agata’s sound healing practitioner training. Agata created a beautiful safe space with lots of room for learning, sharing and growing. I am very happy that I joined her for this training and I feel inspired and confident to start my own sound healing journey.”

Britta
“I followed the 2 day Sound Practitioner Training with Agata and enjoyed it a lot. Agata is very knowledgeable and created a safe space to learn, practice, share and receive. It gave me exactly what I needed; the confidence to facilitate my own first sound bath. Thanks a lot for the nice and valuable experience. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ”

Your Learning Journey

Learning to facilitate sound baths is a journey, and this training is designed to provide you with a strong and practical foundation.

Step 1 – Build Your Foundation

During Level 1, you’ll develop a thorough understanding of the principles of sound healing, learn to play different instruments with confidence, and practise facilitating complete sound bath sessions in a supportive environment.

You’ll leave with practical experience, your training manual, and the confidence to begin sharing sound with others.

Step 2 – Gain Experience

After the training, I encourage every participant to practise regularlyโ€”whether with family, friends, or small groups. Confidence grows through experience, and every session helps you refine your own style and deepen your relationship with sound.

I’m always delighted to hear about your progress and am happy to answer questions as you continue your journey.

Step 3 – Deepen Your Practice

Once you’ve gained some experience, you may choose to continue with Level 2, where we’ll explore more advanced techniques, therapeutic applications, and ways to create richer, more intentional sound journeys.

Step 4 – Continue Growing

Becoming a skilled sound practitioner is an ongoing process of learning, listening, and self-development. My hope is that this training becomes not just a course you attend, but the beginning of a fulfilling path that continues to evolve with youโ€”both personally and professionally.

FAQ

Can I take Level 1 & 2 privately?

Yes. The complete Level 1 & 2 Sound Healing Practitioner Training is available as a private one-to-one training. You’ll cover the same curriculum as the group training while benefiting from personalised guidance, additional time for questions, and hands-on practice tailored to your learning pace.

Is the certificate the same?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the training, you will receive the same Level 1 and/or 2 Sound Healing Practitioner Certificate as participants attending the group training. The learning objectives and certification standards remain the same.

How many days does the private training take?

The private training is usually delivered over three full days, following the same structure as the group course. If preferred, the programme can also be divided into shorter sessions to better suit your schedule.

Can the schedule be spread over multiple weeks?

Absolutely. One of the advantages of private training is its flexibility. Depending on availability, we can spread the training over several days or weeks, allowing you time to absorb the material, practise between sessions, and fit the training around your personal or professional commitments.

Can I combine Level 1 and Level 2?

Yes. If you’re looking for a more immersive learning experience, it’s possible to combine Level 1 and Level 2 into a personalized training pathway. We’ll discuss your experience, goals, and available time to create a schedule that works best for you.

Can I learn on weekends?

Weekend training may be available on request, subject to availability. If weekends are the most suitable option for you, feel free to get in touch and we’ll explore the possibilities together.

Can you travel to my location?

Yes, in some cases. If you have a suitable space and would like to organise private training at your own location, I’d be happy to discuss the possibilities. Travel within the Netherlands or abroad can often be arranged, with travel and accommodation costs quoted separately where applicable.

How many participants are in each group?

To ensure a personal and hands-on learning experience, each training is limited to a maximum of 10 participants. This allows plenty of time for individual guidance, practice, and questions while creating a supportive learning environment.

Do I need any previous experience?

No previous experience is required for Level 1. This part is designed for complete beginners as well as wellness professionals, yoga teachers, therapists, and anyone wishing to explore the therapeutic use of sound. All you need is curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to learn.

Do I need to bring my own instruments?

No. All instruments needed during the training are provided, so you can fully immerse yourself in the learning experience without making any investment beforehand. During the course, you’ll have the opportunity to experience different instruments and receive guidance if you decide to purchase your own in the future.

What happens after I complete the training?

After completing Level 1, you’ll receive your Sound Healing Practitioner Certificate and have the confidence to begin offering individual and group sound relaxation sessions. If you’d like to deepen your skills, you’ll also have the opportunity to continue with Level 2 and further develop your practice.
