The Open Voice Circle is an evening of singing together. I started it because so many people told me they loved to sing but never did, out of shyness or because someone once told them to stop.
How it works
We sit in a circle. I teach short songs by ear, a line at a time, and we layer them until the room is full. Nobody sings alone unless they want to. Between songs the bowls play and we breathe. The evening lasts about ninety minutes.
Who it is for
Anyone who can hum. You do not need to read music or have a trained voice. People who come to the sound baths often try the circle next, and sound practitioners in training use it to get comfortable with their own voice.
Practical
Bring water and warm socks. Cushions and chairs are available. Dates are listed below and on the events page.
