Gentle Comeback
Cacao Ceremony
Friday 29th May, 18:00-20:00,
Amsterdam Oud-West

A gentle space for people moving through recovery, transition, exhaustion, change, or simply longing to reconnect with themselves again.

Some seasons of life ask us to slow down.

After periods of stress, change, recovery, loss, overwhelm, or simply feeling disconnected from ourselves, returning can feel tender. This evening is an invitation to come back gently — without pressure, expectations, or the need to have everything figured out.

Gentle Comeback is a grounded cacao ceremony created as a space for rest, reflection, softness, and reconnection. Through ceremonial cacao, guided meditation, live music, silence, and shared presence, we gather to slow down and reconnect with ourselves in a more honest and compassionate way.

This is not about transformation or becoming someone new.
It is about remembering ourselves beneath the noise, the exhaustion, and the constant pressure to keep going.

Together, we will create an atmosphere that feels warm, intimate, and supportive – a space where you are welcome exactly as you are.

This evening may resonate with you if you are:

  • moving through a period of recovery or transition
  • feeling emotionally or physically tired
  • longing to reconnect with yourself
  • seeking softness, grounding, and meaningful connection
  • learning to move through life at a gentler pace

What to expect:

  • guided meditation

You are welcome to come exactly as you are.

Not every comeback needs to be dramatic. Some returns happen quietly, gently, one breath at a time.

  FAQ

Do I need previous experience with cacao ceremonies?

Not at all. This evening is open to both newcomers and experienced participants. Everything will be guided gently and clearly.

What exactly is ceremonial cacao?

Ceremonial cacao is a pure, minimally processed form of cacao traditionally used in ritual and community gatherings. In this space, it is shared as a warm and grounding drink that can support relaxation, presence, emotional openness, and connection.

Will this be very spiritual?

The atmosphere of the evening is grounded, calm, and human-centered rather than overly spiritual. You are welcome exactly as you are, whether you connect to these experiences emotionally, creatively, spiritually, or simply as a space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

What can I expect during the evening?

The ceremony includes ceremonial cacao, guided meditation, live music/sound healing, reflection, quiet moments, and gentle connection within the group. The atmosphere is intentionally soft, intimate, and unhurried.

Is sharing personal experiences required?

No. There is never any pressure to speak or share. You are welcome to participate in the way that feels most comfortable for you.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. Many people come on their own, and the space is designed to feel welcoming, safe, and relaxed.

What should I bring?

Wear something comfortable and cozy. You may also wish to bring:
– a journal
– warm socks
– a water bottle
– anything that helps you feel grounded and comfortable

Should I eat before the ceremony?

It is recommended to eat lightly 1–2 hours beforehand rather than arriving on a completely empty stomach.

Is cacao safe for everyone?

Ceremonial cacao is generally gentle, but if you are pregnant, highly sensitive to caffeine, taking antidepressants or heart medication, or have any medical concerns, please reach out beforehand so we can discuss whether this experience is suitable for you.

What is the intention behind Gentle Comeback?

This evening was created as a space for softer returns — after stress, burnout, recovery, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or simply periods of disconnection from ourselves.

It is an invitation to slow down, breathe, reconnect, and remember that healing and returning do not need to happen all at once.
