New Year Restore XL

Start your new year with calm, clarity, and a feeling of being truly refreshed.

New Year Restore is a gentle, welcoming event designed for everyday women—whether you work in an office, run a household, or juggle a bit of everything. Come on your own or bring someone special, like a friend, partner, or parent, and step into the new year feeling grounded and supported.

We’ll guide you through a simple, soothing journey:

Gentle Yin Yoga
We begin with slow, nourishing yin poses to release tension from the body. Expect soft stretches, deep breaths, and the space to let your mind settle.

New Year Ritual
Next, we invite you into a meaningful but easy-to-follow ritual to welcome the year ahead. You’ll set intentions, release what you no longer need, and create a sense of openness for new possibilities. It’s warm, inclusive, and suitable for everyone—no previous experience needed.

Yoga Nidra
You’ll then be guided into yoga nidra, a deeply relaxing “yogic sleep” meditation. It’s a chance to rest, reset, and connect with a calm inner state.

In Yoga Nidra, we bring the body to a deep, sleep-like relaxation while the mind is still awake. Using different techniques of breath awareness, body scans, and visualizations, we’re traveling through different states of awareness related to the brainwave states between wakefulness and sleep. We release deep-seated tension and learn to see & feel things from a different perspective. Doing absolutely nothing, something deep inside might shift and heal. Once the mind is quiet, we might experience an effortless state of peaceful meditation, bringing us closer to who we really are.

Sound Bath
We close the evening with a soothing sound bath. The gentle tones of bowls and chimes will help your mind drift and your body fully let go. Many people describe it as floating or melting into relaxation.

Throughout the day, you’ll experience:

  • Yin Yoga to release tension and come back into your body in a calm and gentle way
  • Yoga Nidra to clam the nervous system and help you access a state of profound relaxation and inner clarity
  • Sound healing to relax deeply and let go. In a combination with yoga nidra they create a very powerful combo of deep rest

You don’t need any experience – just come as you are. This day is about slowing down, feeling more present, and sharing a warm, welcoming space with others while celebrating a new year and giving yourself the gift of a longer, nourishing moment of attention and care.

Yin yoga guided by Katrin will gently open your body through slow, supported stretches that release tension from long workdays. It will help you settle into stillness and create space for calm before moving into the ritual.

Yoga Nidra guided by Katrin will lead you into a deeply restorative state, allowing your mind and body to unwind completely. It will give you time to reconnect with yourself and welcome the new year with clarity and softness.

Sound Bath guided by Agata will surround you with soothing vibrations that help melt away stress and quiet the mind. It will leave you feeling lighter, refreshed, and peacefully grounded as you close the session.

Katrin Kögel

Katrin began her career as a jazz singer, but soon discovered that her true gift was not performing – it was helping people slow down and find ease. She became a yoga teacher in ‘2010 and gradually shifted from dynamic styles to the calming practices of Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, which are now her specialties.
Katrin is known for her inclusive approach, creating space where every body – young or old, fit or tired, healthy or healing – can relax and reconnect.

Born and raised in Germany, she studied singing in Weimar and Amsterdam and completed extensive trainings with teachers such as Anat Geiger, Paul & Suzee Grilley, Satya & Sahaj, Moena de Jong, and Kamini Desai. She also studied Spiritual Care at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, which inspired her volunteer work in palliative care.
