Description

Celebrating Women Cacao & Sound Healing Ceremony
Sunday 8th March 16:30-18:30
Amsterdam Oud West
International Women’s Day

This cacao ceremony with sound healing is a calm and intentional gathering to mark International Women’s Day.
We will begin by sharing ceremonial cacao, allowing time to settle, arrive, and connect – both with ourselves and with the group. Cacao is traditionally used to support presence and openness, and in this setting it serves as a gentle anchor for the experience.
The ceremony will be accompanied by sound healing, using instruments that support relaxation, grounding, and attentive listening. Participants will be invited to rest, listen, and receive the sounds as a way to slow down and create space for reflection.
This event is not about performance, transformation, or fixing anything. It is a simple invitation to pause, acknowledge the day, and share a meaningful experience in a supportive environment.

Practical notes
What to bring:
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring anything you may need to sit or lie down comfortably, such as a cushion. Bringing a water bottle is recommended.
Please note: mats and blankets are provided but feel free to bring yours if you prefer.
Cacao considerations:
Ceremonial cacao is a natural stimulant and may not be suitable for everyone. This ceremony may not be appropriate if you are pregnant, have certain heart conditions, high blood pressure, or are taking antidepressants (especially MAO inhibitors) or other medications that may interact with cacao.
If you have any medical concerns or are unsure whether cacao is suitable for you, please consult a healthcare professional or reach out in advance.
